Our story
In 2014, Sweeney Research joined EY (Ernst & Young) to become EY Sweeney. It was a major milestone in the 40+ year history of the business, as it saw one of Australia's largest market research companies become part of one of the fastest growing Advisory firms.
EY Sweeney is a fully integrated part of the EY Advisory business, offering a full range of research and strategy planning services. We have the same client centric, outcome driven approach we've always had, overlaid with the ability to draw on the global expertise of EY. It's a powerful proposition that further enhances our ability to deliver the insights, strategies and solutions that will make a difference to the success of our clients.
Our people
The standing brief to all of the EY Sweeney staff is 'How can we do things better?'. We recognise that the success of our clients is dependent on the quality and calibre of the research that informs and inspires their decision making. To deliver great research that will make a difference ultimately requires great thinkers, and we believe we have some of the best around.
A brief history
There are many milestones in the history of EY Sweeney. Throughout the lifespan of the firm we've always sought to do things differently and to build long term relationships with our clients.
EY Sweeney (formerly Sweeney Research) was founded in 1972 in South Melbourne and quickly grew to become one of the most prolific research firms in Australia. Over the years we've worked across all sectors and for a diverse range of commercial and government clients. We are passionate about seeing our clients succeed, and pleased to have been recognised for a range of Research Effectiveness and other global awards.
Since joining EY, we've continued to grow and we've expanded our footprint significantly. In fact, over the past 12 months we've conducted research in over 30 countries around the world.
